Well at least they got their just "rewards". Luckily I don't have this problem where I live being a rural area.
Wise to request a "signature required" from the sender when possible in the city.
Thanks for the post Mike.
No porch thieves in my neighborhood that I know of, but for some time someone or something had been lifting the cap off the sunken drain pipe coming from my back yard. I even thought it might have been something coming out of the drain, so I put a large stone covering half of it.
Now after almost a year, I caught the culprit redhanded. It's my neighbor's pet Corgi. My neighbor and I were talking in my driveway, and the dog went over to the drain cover, gingerly moved the rock, clawed the cover off, and took a drink of the drain water. My neighbor couldn't believe it, even though she suspected it.
I heard of a person in the San Fran. bay area , lived in a small apt. took BART to the city everyday, wrapped the garbage in a box with gift wrap,, just left on the train,, surprise , surprise!!
That was definitely a woman who ran up to the porch.
Shoulda put an explosive dye pack in the package like they use at banks. And maybe a GPS tracking device. Might be easier to identify, locate and apprehend the thieves.......
Was a bad idea to give them his E-mail address in my opinion, though.
Just my dos centavos,
Harry
