Since I now have my interior on hand I have been studying the Ciadella videos on installation and I noticed that there were plates with saw tooth bottoms over the doors which allowed the headliner to be tucked under.

I don't seem to have them in my 57 2dr post (see Picks below) Does anyone know where I can get them, or does anyone have dimensions so that I can make replacements

The retainers are fairly hard to find when you need them, but hopefully someone on here will have a set avail. for you. You can use the 4 door sedan pieces in a pinch. The front over the door one goes 3/4 of the way over the 2 door door, then cut down another piece for the remainder. The 4 door stuff should be easier/cheaper to find.

Bill at one time we had a member that made up a few new sets of the"sawtooth" pieces as i refer to them as. Seems like it was member "challe" but not positive. You might check with him for a set.

Hotrodder - those extra pics helped a lot - did not realize that there were triangles punched out to hold the headliner in place. Carmine says he may have a pair. If he doesn't how much do you want for yours and how do you want to be paid?? You can PM me on this if you want.

Thanks for the response and pics they helped a lot.

Hi Bill, I did watch the video and I see what your needs are. I checked the garage and I found some pieces that I had cleaned and painted to stop any future rust. If I recall correctly, I took these off a '57 4d sd. I compared the length to the ones on my '56 2d wagon and the pieces are shorter. I also have one straight piece in addition to the two pieces which go above the pass. and driver door. As mentioned in another post, a piece could be cut from the straight piece to finish above the doors. I should have measured, but the short ones aren't short by a whole lot; maybe 3-4 inches??? I don't want to begrudge anyone from selling parts and making a few dollars, but if you can use these, you can have them for free. I'll even pay for the shipping which can't be very much. Just let me know your pleasure, Carmine.

I bought a set for my Delivery. I then did my interior and found out the Deliveries didn't use them. So, I have a set I bead blasted, primed and painted black. If you don't use what was offered in the earlier posts, pm me as I would be willing to sell these.
