I have removed the old door seal/weather strip from the door. Cleaned with adhesive/wax remover. My question is......how do the door seal/weather strip get installed with the door on the car? The problem I see is where the door meets the fender near the door hinges. Also, where should I start the install? On the bottom of the door? Should I use any adhesive at all? I looked at my 2015 suburban door seals. They look exactly like the T&N seals I have for the 55 and they have no adhesive! Please advise as I only want to do this once. The PO installed the door seals incorrectly.

I had Metro Molded door seals on my car for 10 years. I installed the first one with 3m adhevsive and it was messy(doors on) so the second door I didn't use any adhesive. They both stayed on fine but the glued one looked crappy.
I now have new seals on since I had the car painted and I don't know for sure if the painter used adhesive or not. In have put some adhesive in a couple spots that didn't seat correctly.
The key if you use adhesive is to do a little at a time which I didn't do back ten years ago.:bowtier:
