Lokar has so many different types of gas pedal linkage for 55 chevy, I don't know which one would be the best for my 350 with a Edelbrock carb. Plus I read that the bracket used which attaches to the Edelbrock carb only has one attachment point and comes loose.

I installed the lokar kit for my 57 and i love it.i do have a carter afb and it fit right on. I dont see why it wouldn't work on a holley or efi.

I hate cable throttles, the stock throttle linkage works great.

I've used Lokar cables with 2 different Edelbrock carbs over the years. I've never had one come loose. If you're concerned about anything coming loose, use a little blue loc-tite.

I can tell you this, the braided throttle line is very short on any Tri-Five...less than 24". So you have 2 choices, go for a short one to save money, or a very long one so that you'll have enough leftover to make a 2nd one down the line if you ever need to.

My linkage is worn out. Its really loose. I can't get the secondaries to fully open as the part that attaches to the throttle rod hits the fire wall. I can't get it adjusted. Plus the pedal needs a heavy foot for it to hit the floor pan. It was worst prior to changing the return springs.

Try a threaded rod with rod end. Fully adjustable and has some movement.
