I am looking to get a few keys (extras) made for my 57. I have and still am using my original key but want a back up in case its lost or breaks. I took my ignition cylinder out of the switch and it has a 4 digit number on the case , is that the tumble numbers ? I really dont want to trust someone to just trace my original key with fears if they mess up they will damage my one and only key. I know where to buy the blanks . Can any locksmith cut a key if I just give them the key code . There use to be ALOT of vendors at Carlisle that make keys but I haven't seen them in quite some time.
