LS Valve covers

Those do look great.

I never have understood why companies make something like a valve cover set that cost that much. If it was around $300 I bet they would sell the heck out of them and still make money. Granted I under stand R&D but man that's high.

You would be speed density with a normal carb type air cleaner. And most those style TB are DBC which limite you to a Gen III motor if running a stock pcm. You could use a stock TB with an elbow adapter but that would not let you run a carb round filter.

As popular as LS motors are these days, its hard for me to understand why valve covers for LS are so darned expensive. They are just valve covers! Up until I bought my '57, I was in the Mopar camp since I was a teenager, and everything is more expensive for those cars, and less aftermarket support to boot compared to Chevy and Ford. I would love to put some cool Chevrolet script covers on my LS3, but I'm not going to pay a ridiculous amount for them.
Just buy the adapter plates and run sbc covers. Be cheaper.

And rod shop they should clear they are not that much taller. Especially vs stock ls that have the cool packs on them too.
