Folks... while I love that movie and after 2.5 years I may need to acknowledge my limitations. Oddly, I have been able to wire the car, install a new engine and trans, install a new suspension, new dual exhausts, learn MIG welding and fix two floor panels and lots of other stuff. All good stuff for a guy that never worked on a car. But some things are just taking un-Godly amounts of time - 5+ hours to fix my electric fan. Turned out it should have taken 15 minutes (thanks Don and so may others who have helped through this site). The list of hours goes on and so does my frustration. I know it is part of the process and why I went this route. And I also learned to not add up the receipts :) I am so close to being on the road with a safe car but so far away. I just can't get my TH350 linkage perfect, TV cable, reverse lights, horn, and a couple other small things. I guess I am looking for a reasonable place to take my car to get the last few things fixed so I can actually drive it. I live in Essex country but will drive to the right place. Thanks for the help.

We have all been there so close yet so far away.

You have been able to do the hardest work and get that out of the way, fiddly bits always take the longest time to sort out, like getting the horn to operate when you press the horn ring.

If you have been at it day in day out sometimes you just need a break, heck you deserve it, let things settle down and you`ll see you`ll be itching to get it done.

I used to push my mates to get their projects finished, you might be able to get someone to if nothing else keep you occupied just to get through this last stage.

If I was closer I would be busting your chops at least once a week, start and finish at least one job, by the time you know it your done.

Feel free to vent :) we are all ears

Hope that someone close can help. Take a break and re evaluate maube you can figure it out on your own. Sounds like you are close. Mike

As another Jersey guy I have heard that some guys have used a shop in Hibernia ,NJ. I personally have not used them,I heard it is aone stop shop from minor to major. It won't hurt to called them. Good luck. :bowtier:

fiddly bits always take the longest...

Resurface, you've done a great job so far. Good luck with the last few fiddly bits.
