A rocket scientist I'm not, or an electrical wizard. I picked up a '55 that has mostly melted wiring under the dash. I want to get it to start,run, and hopefully charge to get it down to the DMV. It has the large HEI distributor with coil in cap. It has a three wire alternator (I think, but I'm not by the car for another week). After reading all the threads here I think (operative word "think") I understand how to wire to start/run/charge and the correct gage wire to use. Attached is a wiring diagram I did. Is this correct for wiring the HEI? My next question is the alternator wires and where they go. I have no clue. Any takers? Thank you.
