Rear axle swap or upgrade?

You seem to know about the posi unit and gears for the 8.5" 10 bolt. The only other thing you should need is to weld spring perches in the correct location. The brakes on the 8.5" axle should work well for you. One other thing, you'll need to make the driveshaft connect up. Shouldn't be a problem, though you might need a different length driveshaft, and maybe a conversion u-joint, or just change the one on the driveshaft.
