Ok guys and gals I am working on my 56 body and ran across some filler in the area where the drip rail meets the upper part of the drivers side pass window. It was in the crack under the drip rail. My question is should there be anything in this area, Like seam sealer. I don't have a clue as to why some one put filler in it. It was cracked as to what made me notice it. the other side has nothing.

yes, this area is filled with seam sealer. sometimes it shrinks and cracks. I dig it out prep and epoxy prime the area the re seal with 3m fast and firm or similar seam sealer. It must be a heavy bodied product, so it doesn't shrink or sag after application. Cut the tip real narrow on the tube so you can get it well into the groove.
Thank you for the info. Maybe that was seam sealer i took out of it. it was cracked all the way down the seam.
