I'm looking for some experience here regarding the installation/modification of the original steering column to mate up with the 605 PS box. I'm especially interested in the fit at the firewall. I've already modified my column by precisely following CPP's instructions sheet

After installing it in the car, the shift detent is inside the firewall. (CPP mentions that slight firewall mods may be needed, but this is not slight IMO.
Warning: Do not use these instructions or procedures. You will end up with a mess and ruin your column and be forced to go buy an expensive aftermarket one, or do extensive detail mods so it doesn't look like a butcher job.
Didn't mean to rant, but need some options.
Did anyone else have this problem?
Thanx. I love this site.
