I was very saddened to hear of Tony Dow's death today at age 77. I still like watching "Leave it to Beaver" daily on ME TV. It is my all time favorite Sitcom. The first few seasons were especially good! It is so nostalgic watching it, as it takes one back to those simpler childhood days.

That is sad news. Doesn't look like there is much more they can do for him.
Looks like he was also a classic car guy finding and buying back the first car he ever owned a 1962 Corvair Spider.
It's surprising how many people never forget how much they really miss the first car that they owned.
My first car was a 1956 Chevy two-door sedan.

May he rest in peace knowing how his role in the show influenced many of us old timers who grew up watching LTB . The show portrayed small town America at its best and the nuclear family with values on raising kids . When I think back of growing up with the milkman delivering milk in glass bottles and going out in the winter to get the frozen cream that would be on the top of the bottles , the local 5 and 10 stores , soda pop counters , gas station attendants that checked oil, cleaned windows and pumped gas, local hobby shops . It all seemed so much better back then but we were young and just growing up. Hopefully the show will continue to be shown .
