Just about 99% convinced to go this route in my 55 post car w/ 3.73 posi gears. I have a few questions for those that have done it.
1. Any reason to switch to a hydraulic TOB? I'm not inclined to go with anything that softens the clutch feel.
2. Someone mentioned to me that he had to change the engine mounts from the original locations to the mid mount in order to do the Tremec... I haven't found anything to substantiate that, including talking to a local speed shop. Can't imagine it makes any difference as long as you do the bellhousing dial in and don't put any binding pressure from the crossmember. Anyone ever hear/read that? I'll end up with orig front mounts, bellhousing mounts and transmission crossmember.
Any other thoughts or good tips to pass on are always appreciated!
