I pulled my engine today and tore it down. I had a hard time getting cam out. It was acting like it was stuck! The cam bearings are toast and some of the top rod bearings are showing copper. Heavy gray stuff in pan AGAIN. I found out that the crank is cut .020 on the mains and .030 on the rods! Going to get a crank kit for sure. I found some marks on the backside of the timing cover where the bolts for the cam gear were rubbing(probably the squeal).
