Call your local county and ask them. Most likely the DPW I believe. If they can't help, ask them to point you to the correct Department who can help you.
In our area we have a once a year "hazard to the environment" collection at a public park, which is sponsored by the county. They usually take old gas, old railroad ties, and so much more.

Put it in your weed sprayer and use it for weed killer.

call the town or county you live in, probably have a location you can take it too. :anim_25:

I use my old antifreeze for weed killer too.

Another method to try is to filter the fuel with a paint strainer and when your regular everyday 16 gal. vehicle needs fuel pour in approx. 3-4 gals. of old gas, then fill up the rest of the way with fresh fuel and add some Sta-Bil. My 2 cents worth.:anim_25::tu:tu

I have mixed it with premium gas and used it in my lawn mower too. 25 gallons is alot of mowing though .Mike

Not Our Government!

Sorry, but the LAST thing I'd do is call a government agency. Next thing you know, you'll be looking at hazardous waste disposal fees.
Oh fiddlesticks, haven't you ever heard?

"I'm from the government, I'm here to help you".:gba:

I'd just put a gallon or two in my daily driver every time I filled up. It's not going to hurt a modern car; the computer will make any necessary adjustments.
