My boat has appx 25 gals of gas that is over3 years old. I need to drain and get rid of it. My question is how or where to dispose of this old fuel. Bill.:gba:

Call your local county and ask them. Most likely the DPW I believe. If they can't help, ask them to point you to the correct Department who can help you.
In our area we have a once a year "hazard to the environment" collection at a public park, which is sponsored by the county. They usually take old gas, old railroad ties, and so much more.

I use it to kill weeds too!
And,to kill fireant beds.
Mix it in with the gas for your lawnmower and other small engines. I do this also.
Good for cleaning parts too.

Another method to try is to filter the fuel with a paint strainer and when your regular everyday 16 gal. vehicle needs fuel pour in approx. 3-4 gals. of old gas,then fill up the rest of the way with fresh fuel and add some Sta-Bil. My 2 cents worth.:anim_25::tu:tu

Here in the South we use it to kill fire ants. Quick and actually cheaper than most ant poisons on the market. Some of the commercial poisons just make the ants re-locate. Gasoline kills them all! Later, Steve

I'd just put a gallon or two in my daily driver every time I filled up. It's not going to hurt a modern car; the computer will make any necessary adjustments.

Our fire dept. uses old gas for fire extinguisher classes. See if four local FD will take it.
