Does anyone have a diagram of how these work with the garnish molding?

they just snap in 2 holes in center of door at bottom of window. Your garnish just slips over it at the bottom and holds it snug to keep the garnish from rattling.

Thanks! I'm wondering if I have aftermarket garnish moldings on my '56 2 door hardtop. Were they ever available in chrome from the factory? Are there things (fittings maybe) on the garnish moldings themselves that these attach to?
