About a month Ago. a barney in the little town of Ravenden that in the next county stopped me. I wasn't doing anything wrong. Just a Old man driving a old 66 truck with a cage in the back hauling two billy goats. This guy states the compueter says my insurance is not valid. Even with me showing him the policy He writes me a ticket for no insurance. That was on a Saturday. Monday I called my insurance agent and he E mailed me a couple of papers. So Tuesday I take everything including a copy of my canceled check To the Ravenden city hall. The lady looked at everything and told me it would be a court cost fee of $50? I told her Im not paying you $50. She told me then go to court and it will cost you $350.So today was the day. I went to court. I was called up front The judge asked me How did i plead. I stated not guilty. He gave me a look that seemed to say why are you standing here lying to me. I handed the prosecuter my policy and the canceled check. He spoke to the judge and the Judge said case dismissed. I only got to say two words. The Best part the little parasite cop & town of Ravenden didn't get any revenue from me.:sign0020: While I was there at the Lawrence county Court House I paid my property taxes on land I own in that county. So the trip wasn't a total loss.

So, did it cost you $350, even though the case was dismissed?

Lawrence county Got the tax revenue. It was $33.12 and $25.92 of that went to the Black Rock School. $4 went to county General $1.60 went to county road and $1.60 went to the county library. The city of Ravenden didnt receive a penny. I own land in three counties. Randolph Lawrence & Sharp.

It didn't cost me nothing but the time sitting in court waiting. They went in alphabetical order and my last name is Watts so I had to wait a few hours.

I got a ticket a couple of years ago and when I went to pull out my license the cop saw my conceal carry license. he got all upset because I didn't tell him I had it. Well I wasn't carrying at the time so I felt no need to tell him about it.
He was an ass so I decided to go to court also. I waited 3 hours while they called every thug in the county before me. Turns out most of the cops had written 8 or 10 tickets while my jackass cop had written 67 tickets and because of his high number his batch was called hast. My points were reduced to two and the fine was cut down to few dollars but because of the environment and the thugs,I'm not sure it was worth it.

Another person who is in law enforcement told me that the City of Ravenden police during the summer write a $100,000 in tickets every month. There on a high volume traffic highway US 412 and folks travel that highway to places like springfield ,Branson ,Lake north Fork. And its a speed trap the ticket as many out of state vehicles as possible. Im shure Karma will eventually even the score. Its not worth $50 to have to set in court 4 hours . However Its the idea of it. Anyone who has a job cant take off work and try to prove that they are innocent.

Its hell dealing with legal pick pockets, damn shame, and then they cry when there's no love, where did the love go ? It went out the window, and down the crapper, for good reason.
Most would have to pay, cost to much to take off from work, they got your arm up behind your back and know it. South Texas they pull ya over, and ask how much money ya carrying, and my pard was coming back from a car sale pulling car trailer with taillight out and had 10k, he got lucky, most times they take the money and tell ya im keeping half, or im charging ya with drug trafficking. Makes me nervous he carries lots of cash at times, and sometimes its mine.
If i wanted to be robbed by a cop, i would go to Mexico. I try an drive right, and avoid conversation with them. Makes life easier, but it make me aware of why Mexicans are afraid of cops, even ours. Instilling fear will be part of the downfall instead of fostering a sense of community. :bowtier:

Its a shame.
Im not stupid. I know now that since I prevailed I need to be on the lookout. All LEOS are part of a brotherhood. And Here in Arkansas they All tend to be blood relatives. So they will be on the lookout to exact revenge. Im going to park the 66 GMC for a bit and start driving a 83 truck I own. Ill avoid going through Ravenden also. I used to buy My LP from the Spring River Gas Co. That Is located there. In gonna boycott all the buisnesses located there. Ill purchase my LP from the guy at Thayer Mo . from now on. And Taffners Saw shop at Ravenden has lost my business also.
