I'm installing the CPP steering column (non-tilt) into my car. Here's what I have.
Look at the pic, there's allot of space between the column housing and the steering shaft.

I guess it maybe a non issue as the steeringbox/rag joint is so close they are would hold it in place, it just seems strange that a bushing/bearing wouldn't be used down there.

So should be a bushing/bearing at the end of the shaft?
Thanks

CPP is not made the same as Randy did the conversion. Truth is, once the steering column is mounted in place with the rag joint attached to
the steering box and steering shaft. The column will be adjusted to float at the bottom. There is no need for a bushing. The upper end has a
bushing of sorts that is part of the horn contact. Even that end should be adjusted to float over the shaft.

Did a little more research... There is no bushing that goes there... The column housing will be held in place by the firewall bracket, and the shaft by the rag joint, like you guys said....
I'm gonna see if I can have my nephew create me a bushing with his 3D printer, I just don't like that gap there...

Thanks all.
