Tool Old Red to my 55th high school reunion. Nothing but Old People!
Also got a shot of Red in front of a mural on Main St.

My class has a reunion dinner every 5 yrs, and next year will be our 60th. And on the off years, we have a lakeside barbecue on a Saturday afternoon (next one is this coming Saturday). Since I've lived and worked 60 miles from the town where I grew up, I look forward to seeing my old classmates from HS...

PS. I graduated Engineering school (UAH) in 1974, and we've never had a reunion! What does that say about the differences between HS and college? :)

I'm happy for those who attend their reunions and enjoy going. I've never been to one of mine. I have less than zero desire to attend. I hated school too. Everything was fine until we centralized with other school districts. Some of these kids were brutal. Bullies. Roamed the halls in pacts taking your lunch money among other things. I cared not much for them back then and nothing has changed, Carmine.

I hadn`t attended any of mine until the 40+1 reunion. The 40th got canceled due to covid. I didn`t want to go then but got talked into it. It went better than i figured it would.

Went to my 30th many years ago. I was the youngest looking of all that were there. Many had already died from lung cancer or the effects
of drinking. I even had a hard time finding something to eat at the dinner........75% of it was not on my diet and had not been for a long time
at that point.
The only thing that was good about the week end was going back to visit PLACES I remember from my youth. I moved away before turning
21 and really never looked back.

I attended my 35th reunion a long time ago. It was basically just a nice meal, and then the rest of the evening was a dance party. Something that I had zero interest in.
When my 50th reunion came around last year, I had planned on going, but after reviewing the itinerary, it seemed more of the same.
A meal to start the evening and then dancing the rest of the night. I decided to skip it.
It would have been fun to visit with some old classmates, but it would have also been a 1200-mile round-trip from Denver to Kansas City.

I live 22 miles from my home town and we have quite a few mini-reunions with the ones who live really close as we get older. Usually at a place called Downtown Bistro, a local restaurant off the square. I was on the reunion committee for our 50th and that's a lot of work.

I didn’t bother with the 5 year reunion. Not enough time for much change. I went to the 10, 15 and 20 year reunions. The 10 and 15 year our wives or girlfriends were not invited (all boys high school). The 20 year they were invited but my wife did not attend. She works on Saturdays and is tired afterward and wouldn’t know anyone. They were all okay. They put our yearbook picture on our name tags and everyone said I looked exactly the same. I didn’t get a notice for the 25 and 30 year reunionS. The 35 year was during Covid and I didn’t want to go and be wear a mask all night. My 40 year is next year. I might go. I haven’t kept in touch with many people from high school, but I do like seeing them once in a while.
I just found that my best friend from high school has a very successful company that helps businesses with mergers. Not what I would have expected him to be doing at all. But I’m happy is is doing so well. I had lunch with him about 17 years ago before he started the company. He does not attend the reunions.

It may be dependent on class and town size, but my 40th was very pleasant. Classmates who I did not think noticed me or cared to, were very friendly. I gave up on my 45th so I could make a family reunion in Bowling Green. Disappointing but only because I was double booked. The decision was easy, yet I would have enjoyed attending the class reunion again, as well.
lamburgey, it would have been sweet to back up old red just a little and cover up that newer bowtie. Still a nice photo.
