I just used my standard wrenches but I was also concerned about overnighting and ruining the o rings but just a little more than snug and it all worked out

 

aluminum wrenches not necessary--just good fitting wrenches. If worried about marring aluminum use a layer of painter's tape on the nuts. I use a small amount of anti-seize on threads especially if aluminum to steel. If o-ring fittings just good and snug. Do not overtighten and stretch threads.

 

Thanks also I had One more question on my Sanderson – 7 compressor I had to change out the manifold should I replace the rubber o- rings if so are they the same seals that I use on the fittings just getting the correct size the 10 and eight the ones I see under the manifold are black and I have a pack of assorted new O-rings but they were the green ones so I was not sure if they’re different O-rings to use

 

green or black are fine as long as same size

 

Petroleum Jelley on the O rings and do not over tighten, and using anti seize in the threads in tiny sparing amounts should not hurt (I never do it)

 

I use refrigerant oil on the O rings in an empty eye dropper bottle.---less messy LOL

 

The oring fittings just need snug. The oring seals it. Flare fittings need to be pretty tight to seal correctly. Always back up the fitting being tighted to prevent the AL line or fitting from twisting as well.
