You should be able to remove the interior panel below the glass and then remove the access panel. From there you should see whare the original holes were drilled.

Are the crests and scripts attached with barrel clips or nuts.

 

I should have mentioned that the car is a 210 and I'm installing the Belair molding on the car so unfortunately there aren't any predrilled holes. But thank you for the suggestion.

The script on my BelAir hardtop is 9 1/2" back from the start of the quarter panel to the front of the "B" and 1" above the quarter moulding if that helps.

 

Can you locate a few more points for me on the script. Also, Is this the stock location. Where is the crest?

 

TJV55 What did you do to create the effect on the indented portion of your long side stainless molding It does not look painted, but looks like an insert. I like it.

These definitely help, but some measurements to specific points on the script and crest and knowing whether the bottom point of the crest is even with, or below the horizontal plane of the main body of the script, is what I need to confirm. Thanks.
