it has red, green, black wires. red hot, black ground, green neg. coil. but, i take it the light will be on all the time? and i can`t get the lense off. any help woul;d be appreciated. as usual, thanx!

My old sun tach has 4 wires one being the light circuit which I wired to the grey dash bulb circuit on my 57. If you only have 3 wires to start with I guess the lamp would be on all the time as it would be connected internally to the power wire for the tach. You would have to take it apart and isolate the lamp if even possible to do so. Jim
It's been 40 years since I owned one, but I think the red wire is power for the light only, you can connect that wire to your instrument lights, and it will run off the green wire only. It's an easy enough experiment to try.
