I don't know Pete's situation, I know we all want to help, But until we here from Pete I think we need to respect his privacy.

I'm going to say what we all don't really want to hear.

There are many things that can cause a marriage to fail, although they can be separated into about a half-dozen categories. One of those categories is an obsession that causes a spouse to neglect everything else.

Such an obsession doesn't have to be gambling or booze - it could be church or civic activities that serve a greater good.

Or, it could be something like the internet. Something like too much time on trifive, for example.

Pete may need our support. Then again, he may need us to stay away, because we're the root of an obsession problem. I don't know that that's the case, but I don't know it isn't, either.

What I do know is - I don't know.

I PM'd Pete, but didn't hear back. Someone else was able to contact him, confirm he's okay, and presumably let him know people are thinking of him.

So, I'm going to wait until I hear from him, either by PM or posting here. When he's ready, he'll let us know.

Noses to the grind stone and not in his business. When he's ready he'll be back. From what I've read in his posts he has always enjoyed it here.

I didn't want to be the first one to say this in the forum. But, now that I'm not...

We need to remember that we know NOTHING about his situation. Very few of us have ever met Pete in person, and even fewer have met his wife and kids. So, we need to be a bit careful about jumping to conclusions when we're working with zero details.

We do have to consider the possibility that tri-five may be part of the problem. For all we know, his wife said, "it's either me or that (expletive) '57 and that (another expletive) trifive.com. Choose!!!".

Let me ask each of you: if you were faced with that ultimatum, which would you choose?

I'm glad to hear someone has made contact with Pete, and he's okay (considering).

What exactly do you mean by "his email no longer works"? Do you mean he doesn't respond to emails, he's removed his email address from his profile, he no longer allows emails to be sent via tri-five, or emails sent to him bounce back as undeliverable? Just curious...
