Hi Everyone, I have been wondering what my pass. side stamped number means. The casting number is 14016379 77-79 350 2 or 4 bolt main. This is where it gets confusing VJ195832 is the stamped number. I dont know if it has been decked and restamped. The engine was built in the mid eighties and the builder could not remember.

The VJxxxx is most likely part of the orginal cars vin #. No other number/letters on the stamp pad? If you are trying to find the build year look for the casting date on the drivers side rear flang. Should be something like B037 B=month, 03=day, 7=year ie: Feb 3rd, 1977. :anim_25:

thanks for the reply in my notes I have 205 driver side casting I will have to dig farther

This maybe a four barrel truck engine. C10 OR C-20.
