Front bumper rechrome cost

What would you guys expect to pay for a 1 piece front bumper and bullets rechrome? I was quoted $600.00 to rechrome with nickel chrome or $1000.00 for show chrome of copper, nickel and chrome by a company in Ft. Worth.

There's no rust or anything on mine, it's just probably 20 years old and needs refreshing.

Can you really tell a difference in the processes to warrant the $400 difference above? Any other D/FW area places I should call? Bama Boys and Econo Plating I've at least read about.

Thanks,
Charlie

I had mine copper plated first then chromed, you can get a better finish.

BTW there`s a company that jumped on board from Bowling Green, they may be worth a try
I went on their site and asked them for a quote, they never responded... :-(

Charlie, are you going to the swap meet in Decatur this weekend? If so look for "Bama Boys" and talk to Tommy, tell him Terry from Graham sent you.
I didn't realize you lived in Graham, I have a hunting lease there. I didn't know the swap meet was in Decatur this weekend either, but I think you just gave me a reason I can go. I'll tell my wife I need to go Teal hunt AND I can check on a bumper for the car. She'll be excited to hear all that! :)

Don, the bumper was on the car when I brought it home , but never really looked at it hard. Some of you guys who've done the tri-five thing for a while might know the guy I bought it from, Dan Hall in Pensacola, FL. He sold tri-five parts for a while and was going to put this car back to stock, so everything I had was either NOS OEM or good repop. He was in not so good health when I bought it in '02 I think it was, so I'm sure he's passed by now. I'm sure the fit is fine, no damage or previous work. I strongly considered getting a Danchuk smoothie and new bullets, but doing that I really don't know what's going to show up vs what I have.

Bama Boys and the Gainesville guy seem to be what I've read about the most.
