I have a '55 Chevy 2dr sedan with 406 SBC and TPI. I originally mounted the computer under the passenger front bucket seat. I'm now putting the car back together after a paint job and changing the interior. I would like to mount the computer in the bottom of the center console above the drive-line tunnel.

I converted from MAF to Speed Density. Will the lack of free air flow have any adverse effect on performance?

I'm concerned that heat may be an issue since the console sits over the drive-line tunnel.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Regards.

I use Velcro, and call it good. My LSX PCM is under the seat. My XFI in the Buick is under the seat... No problems w/ heat.
