5x4 3/4 is a way old lug pattern

 

I'd just pick up a cheap 15x7 repro wheel and mount it in the stock location.

 

Thinking the same should be able to find one easier than the donut wheel

Was wondering if I could get a cheap donut spare for the car, mine has never had a spare and that concerns me. The regular rims are 15x7.

By the mid 70s all Vettes had 15x8 wheels, My 78 had a factory space saver mounted behind rear end.

stock wheels for your vet should have been 15x8 rally wheels. the spare would be an 8" also.

 

I just did this for my 68 Chevelle. Used an aluminum rim spare from a 2013 Equinox. I did have to get it machined on the inner diameter to fit my Chevelle. Its 17 x 4.5, with the right tire its a huge space saver.
