Hello all,
Just joined the site and not sure what all is available. I have a 57 210 Townsman Wagon I've had for 6 years and thinking of selling since wagons are pretty popular now, but may just keep and make some upgrades if no one can come up with the cash. It's mostly original except for disc brakes, dropped spindles and Cragar SS wheels and radials. Needs a new stereo since my second 'custom auto sound' stereo crapped out again. Will probably get a
Retrosound model this time. Thinking about converting from powerglide to a stick shift...I have a three speed trans and bell housing, clutch, etc. from a 55 that I think will bolt up without too many changes. Plan to add an Edlbrock performer manifold and 4 barrel and dual exhausts too. Maybe a vintage air unit also. Lots of options, with the only limit being my budget.
Might be easier to sell and buy something done up the way I want it. I have lots of time to decide since I'm recently (1 1/2 yrs) retired.
So long for now,
Ed

Hi Ed,welcome to TriFives, its an excellent site with alot of great folks ready to help out with tech problems or just to see how your doing.Your wagon sounds cool how about some pictures? Otis has put out a great video on how to add pics or resize them to fit your posts if your haveing problems posting them. At first it seems overwelming but you will be downloading in no time.Take care-Mark

WELCOME

Welcome to trifive Ed.... Nice intro story.... I like what I hear with your fix up plans but I think you would enjoy the convience of a 700R automatic/overdrive transmission as opposed to a manual 3 speed... But wait, your building it for you not me:) Enjoy the wagon your way... Later, Dave

Welcome to Tri Five Ed. Right now isn`t the best time to be trying to sell a classic car since the economy is still a little soft. Just keep it and enjoy it.:D

I'm bringing out the Welcome Wagon, Ed! Here it is!

As you can see I'm also a wagon owner. I'm particularly interested in seeing how a wagon looks with Cragar SS wheels and radials, so if you could post a pic of your wagon I'd greatly appreciate a peek at it. Don't worry about condition if you're not finished with it -- mine needs a lot of work too.

Hi Bob,
I have an album out there with about 12 pics or so. Not sure how all this stuff works yet. Do I need to put the pics in my garage or can everyone see my album?

Looks to be a real nice wagon you have there. You can also copy pics from your album to your post.
