So I've owned nothing but Chevy's and Pontiacs since I got my license at 17, now I've always wanted to own a ford for once, and an older ford not a new one because I'd never own a ford newer than 1979. Some of you might remember i bought a 1966 Chevy C10 down in North Carolina. i love the truck but i found this 1954 Ford Custom line out in Indiana. for a good price too. 57k miles nice tuck and roll blue interior. one owner car. this will be my next daily driver. for all spring summer long, and hopefully find a junker for next winter. the chrome is all original as well and it has the 239 OHV V8. the only thing it needs is door hinges and pins, because they sag, and a little bit of adjustments to the trunk lid.

That sure brings back memories for me.... my first car was a '52 Ford, paid $100 for it, it had a flat-head engine and 3 on the tree, but the flat-heads we were going through, about 5 in all, kept popping valve seats, however, my Dad came up with an ingenious way to keep them in, but that's another story. Anyway, when my sister wrecked her 57 Plymoth (totaled), I pulled the 318ci and 727 Torque Flight push button tranny out've that Plymoth and put it in my 52 Ford.... that was 1969... whoa! It was metal flake blue with chrome hub-caps and had a new blue and white cloth interior... the 52-54 were pretty much the same body style., so thanks for sharing pics of yours, brings back lots of memories... BDR...

nice specimen

Nice. Quite the find. I like it. My Dad had a 51 in 56. He installed a bored stroked and balanced 55 265 in it. Light blue sport coupe.

Are there any forums for these cars like there are for tri fives? I want to get more info on these cars and upgrades that you can do to them. I need to buy new door hinge pins as well.

I like most all cars from the 50's & 60's... My first car was a 53 Ford, Victoria (2 door hard top) black with a white top... Had the original flat head and automatic tranny, I think they called it Ford-O-Matic... Sounded pretty cool with dual glasspack mufflers... Later, Dave

Sweet ride. My daily driver is a Crown Vic. Unstoppable. I've never seen an old Ford in as good condition as yours. Thanks for posting. :anim_25:

Great-looking car, the air cleaner looks the same as the one on my stock 55 Chevy, Are they the same?

If you plan on driving the old Ferd , you might consider updating the brakes' master cylinder to a dual-acting master . The original system can be deadly ; if you spring a leak ANTWHERE in the system , you have NO brakes at all , just like our Tri-fives' original masters. Keep us posted ; that one doesn't need a big block. Be safe...Bob.

Very nice car. One good thing is the aftermarket parts have come around for Fords and most every thing is available now. Just don't be surprised at the cost, Ford parts run around double what you're use to paying for Tri5 stuff.

Check Au-Ve-Co for the hinge pins. They have tons of old parts and hardware for old cars. They may have a distributor near you. :anim_25: with that cool car. http://www.auveco.com/product/pins.html
