My car was originally Twilight Turquoise (Canadian Car) does anyone have a Twilight turquoise car. The picture of mine is not very clear. I was thinking if someone had one in that color or combo color. I would like to see a picture of it.:shakehands:bowtie-trifive

Mistake in color

I changed it after. I looked it up on the net and checked my tags again on my car.

The weird thing is if you look up Twilight Turquoise on the net under images 1956 Chev it shows about 5 different colors.:sign0020:

Yeah the twilight Turquoise is a Canadian color, it is the original color under a horrible green-blue paint job on my project. No idea why it was ever repainted, there was a lot of Bondo on the passenger rear door maybe part of a repair + makeover way back when.

I've had the car almost 30 years (YIKES), and I am sure the guy I bought it from had never had it fixed or painted, so it's a really old repair.

I will be putting the original color back on, jury is still out on a white roof. I think the white (India Ivory) on the roof breaks it up nicely, but car was originally all one color.

Have done fire wall and started door posts using rattle cans I had mixed up locally, few pictures attached of how the new paint looks.

Have a great weekend.

It was an American color as well then....Not very well represented in the chart below, IMHO.

My car is supposed to be Twilight Turquoise and India Ivory White. I had it painted about 20 years ago, and according to the chart that I was shown at the paint shop, that's what it was called. The original color was Sierra Gold and Adobe Beige, so no help with the data plate under the hood.

Beautiful car they really are a work of art. Years ago I was living with an Artist who was director of a gallery. She put on an art show of Automotive paintings, we then decided to have a car show. We had a concept Porsche and a Dusenburg and a bunch of other cars. The representative of Jaquar and the revamper of Ferrari from the United States was flown in by his private pilot. Needless to say it was an event I will never forget. Beautiful cars incredible paintings.

Here is some photo's of a 56 in twilight turquoise and india ivory. This is a one owner 56 that the original owner had for sale last summer when i took these pictures in her basement. Its hard to get the light blue, light green and various turqoise colors to show true to life in a photograph. In real life twilight turqoise is a much darker turquoise than tropical or regal turquoise and it has more of a greenish tint or huge to it. These photos dont show it true to life the camera changes it somewhat.

Thanks a lot my car was originally all one color of Midnight Torquoise . I am pretty sure with my repaint over the winter it is going to go back to the original with India Ivory as the second color.

My first 55 was regal turquoise, but I like this color better ..... :anim_25:
