I am computer illiterate. If I can find my way around, anyone can. Patience. I hate to be ignorant, but am I the only one who doesn't know what FUBAR means?? Is it an acronym for something?? Thanks, Carmine.
Fouled up beyond all repair (FUBAR) is a slang term that originated and was popularized during World War II by American soldiers. The term means that a situation or object is so messed up that it is beyond being salvageable. There are also other, more obscene, variations of the term.

It's a military acronym and it's not family frindly.

Most of the problems that crop up, (not counting the operator problems) are incompatibility between the site and the brouser your using and that's been going on since the 1980's when they first started loading aftermarket aps (called programs back then) onto operating systems. Either the brouser or the site will update something, or reset the parameters, and create a incompatibility problem. Usually one or the other will fix it and you will never know it. A lot of times when something doesn't work like it used to, you can change brousers and it's works like it did.

The only real problem I've had with the site is one that is well known. The search facility is only a little bit better than useless. You will actually find more on the site by typing your search in google, add trifive to the end of the search, and fling it out there on the web.

A good example is "remove 1957 chevy front wheel cylinder anchor bolt trifive."

Got it. I just never heard that term before. Thanks, Carmine.

A related one is "snafu". Sitaution normal all ****** up.

There are several more similar ones.

I guess I don't share the concern for someone who gives up so easily. There are a ton of websites/forums that are more problematic than this one.

From time to time I've been checking in here, and have noticed that he's been reading these comments. It could be that he's one of those (blank) stirrers that just likes to stir stuff up on different sites.

I've been to and I'm a member of several blogs/ sites and the trifive is the best by quite a stretch!! IMHO, the layout is perfect. The help, information and encouragement is abundant. I would not make any changes. I had very little trouble navigating this site, just try some other sites. All you need to do is just read and chances are you will find everything you need to know! This is the best resource.

Thankfully I'm not experiencing most of the problems stated here BUT the administrators are right there to help. Ask and be patient.

i have been having problems posting pictures on this site
555mad....Please start a thread about it in the "website help forum" so the AG ADMIN can see it and investigate. Nothing can be done if they don`t know about it.

You will have to be more specific about the procedures that you are using.

Hate to see anyone leave before exploring for help. I've had my issues at times with emotions, aggravation and my dumbness. But, I have asked for and always received help from the administrators; very caring "bunch" of people here. Maybe, I've mellowed at 71 and been married to the same lady for 51 years and we have had our sour emotions, aggravation times and dumb moves BUT i wouldn't trade her for anything. The same is for this site--wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks to all who continue to help. We all have our disagreements but that's just life-think about your decision before you "bow" out----I stand for the national anthem and GOD bless America-Army vet , 1968:gba:

According to his profile, he hasn`t seen these comments because he hasn`t been back on site since he posted it.
