Oh Yeah! Got it now.

Was under the car painting the frame with POR-15....Some dribbled down and created this unique birth mark....Haven't got the stuff off yet....Kinda' makes me look like Gobachev's brother.
Great stuff there!! Reminds me of when I was applying Eastwood Rust Encapsulator to the trunk area of my '56 before paint. I had just finished media blasting that area so I was using my blow gun to make sure all the media was clear of the area I was getting ready to apply the rust encapsulator to. Well that was all fine until I accidentally shot the blow gun into the open can of rust encapsulator that was sitting in the trunk! I looked like I had a case of black chicken pox all over my face! I had to scrub with fingernail polish remover for an hour to get that stuff off. The bright side was that my face was completely rust free! :sign0020:

Well, it was a bit windy the day I painted the frame.....Some sand found its way on top of the rails, before the paint dried.....So I had to sand it back down and re-do......Looks better now :tu

Also, got to looking at the control arms and changed my mind about the way I wanted them to look....Decided to sand them down and repaint with Eastwood's Stainless Steel Epoxy; so they will contrast with the frame like the ones Hafrod did on his a while back....(Shown in bottom photo)

Dave, That looks AWESOME! You've inspired me to pull my engine with my similar project. Mine sat for so long I have alot of seals and gaskets leaking so it will be worth my work in the end. I don't think it will look as good as yours though , your setting the bar pretty high. As the kids say, SWEEEEET

THANKS for checking-up on me guys and trying to keep my head in the game....I could come up with a few excuses like vacation, too hot, been raining a lot, etc...However, I need to get off my bellhousing at get out ther and just do it! Was going to put the suspension back together....Put the upper control arms on and then went to look for the hardware for the lowers....Come to find out, for some reason I had not cleaned the bolts, nuts and washers up and painted them, like the rest of the FE parts....So, that's where I'm at now.

THANKS for asking Mickey......I think the POR-15 took a couple of weeks to wear off.....Gone now.....So, its time to start wearing some more.:)

My camera is broke.....So, I can't include photos with the update narratives.....I will have to do that at a later date.

Last week I was able to get the springs, control arms, and spindles assembled onto the car....All looks good with the silver control arm color, contrasting the black frame and springs.....Yesterday, I connected-up the steering linkage, which I had painted silver as well......Did a tempory install on the steering box and wheel.

I decided that I would not rely on the tredle vac drum brakes for stopping us any more....The stopping was good....However, the single system, wth no way to make it dual, made it unsafe in my mind....So, I installed a set of the Chevelle disc brake brackets that I had laying around, looking for a home.....I then went to temporarily install the wheels....So, the car at least be a roller again....That's where I ran into difficulties.

The rotors are scraping on the upper spindle bolts....Got a good deal on a kit from a member here and it was missing the bolts......I didn't realize at the time that the top bracket to spindle bolts heads were thinner than the originals....So, I'll have to solve that little issue....I could get them machined down, if I have to.
