Any one ever have any experience owning / restoring a 1960 Chevy Brookwood Nomad wagon? Going to look at one Saturday and was looking for any tips on things to look for? Same areas as on a trifive wagon? inner rear wheel wells?, door jams?, around rear glass?

Just looking for a wagon and this one is close and maybe priced right.

Guy in Local Chevy club has a sharp 60 2dr wagon.
List same as Trifive. But of the 59 and 60 wagons be sure you get all the trim ( Harder to find) and check area around the edge trim on the rear fins

Looked at the wagon ... 'rusty' but cheap. Not sure I'm ready for all that metal work. Someone needs to talk me out of it because it is complete & way cool! Been sitting on a barn for nearly 30 years. I just need several "wait for a better one to come along." But you just don't see many '60 Nomads.

Might be a reason nobody followed through. However, the guy has no reserve and it says in the description that he's "open to offers". If as you say it is local, why not drop by in the morning before the auction ends and make him a CASH offer? 60's are as cool as tri5's in their own way.

Thanks for the info... that was not the wagon for me. Sold for just over $2,100. I wasn't willing to go that high for that much floor and sheetmetal rust. I will keep looking and post an add in the classifieds!

No I never owned a 60 Nomad. I agree I think they are cool looking but I don't ever see them anymore. We never saw many growing up out here where I grew up. Mike
