Don, the old truck has come a Loooong way! I enjoy your build...and man! I'm jealous about your weather...looks like you are building your truck in a paradise! :)

Thank gawd. That hot stuff was tearing me up. The older I get the worse I hate it. Love working on project cars in the winter, and wait all summer for the fall to come for wrenching time!
I think the bug has bit a bunch of us nad

Don....Been reading through the threads in the Project Update forum this weekend....Just perused yours and enjoyed the read....You've come a long way and surmounted plenty of obstacles along the way....Congrats buddy :):congrats:

Excellent work on that bed.....Looks like a professional job....Don't know how you are going to be able to haul rocks and gravel though....Maybe a spray on bedliner :sign0020:

That wooden BED LOOKS great Don.

Seeing your wooden bed has defiantly pushed me over the edge on me going the wooden bed route on my dads 69 truck when the time comes.

Hey Dan...

you want cold weather to work in, why don't you come up and work in my garage, it was only 31*'s in there this morning :sign0020:

Fine job you have done there Don. keep up the great work.

Wow! The bed looks like a deck off some classic luxury boat! Very nice indeed. Btw I just found Corona from our local store....gotta taste sometime.

I agree Mikko.
You found Corona in Finland? WOW!
Check and see if you can find some Sierra Nevada "Torpedo" also. If so, don't drink a bunch of them in a row or you won't make it to work the next day! Just have one along with your regular beer. The tangy citrus taste really wakes up the taste buds.

Hey Finn! If you do try the Corona over there let us know. I would think it might be a higher alcohol content over there. :) I think the US restricts ours in most states. :(

So I have been doing several things on the truck as it has been a little warmer in my garage. Bought and installed a new ignition switch so I could get away from my push button starter. Installed my under dash gauges for oil pressure, volts and water temp.

I even ordered new carpet which will arrive next week.

So yesterday I decided to check my oil. Not a good thing. :( Looks like I have antifreeze in my oil. I had the heads on this crate 350 magna-fluxed and put new head gaskets on when reassembling. There was some water in with the oil when I bought it but was hoping it was condensation but looks like I was wrong.

Major set-back. :(

Don
