They pull motors in less than 20 minutes on Car warriors, coarse they have 8 guys.Good luck POPS.I wish I read the instructions for my new guages when I had my back seats out to do my seat belts, now they have to come out again.Got to think it through.Your neighbor,Tim.

Lookin good pops!!:tu the frame looks really clean, not much rust pitting. What color? and gloss are you painting it? If you dont want to pull the motor. You can pull the valve covers and intake. and get to pretty much every thing.

Keep the pics coming!!

Dave, Such a good job you've done, get that engine out of the way and do it right!! :)
At some point down the road, I will be replacing the engine in the '55....At that time, I will pull the doghouse off and paint the firewall red to match the car...So, until then, this will have to do.]

Doing it all the work on the '55 in my driveway, as I only have a one car garage.....Right now, the '57 is sitting in there, waiting for me....Talk about job security :)

On to the Firewall

Got the inner fenders completed.....So, it was on the firewall today.....Had no more excuses to put it off any longer.....Sanding and scraping; sanding and scraping....As you can see, I started on the right side first....Decided I will remove the hood to get around the hood hinges....Also, it looks like I can slide the engine a few inches forward to get behind it some.

David, It's OK. It's a disease we all seem to share here!:sign0020:
Can't wait to see pictures when you finished! :)
OH I totally second that one. How many times have you gone to do one simple thing and ended up doing ten things around it. Not to mention all that extra cost. At least it will all be good as new now. :p3::p3:

Was that original color Neptune Green?
Origal colors were regal turquoise and india ivory....Kinda' wish they would have left it that way....But don't think I will be changing it back.

David what color are you going to put back on the firewall? It should all look neater when you get done with it.

Planning to use black POR-15 on just about everything.....Used some on my control arms and other front suspension parts and was very impressed with it.
